Does anyone else love those little glass fill ornaments? I love how you can fill them with memories and adapt them to your family’s personality!

Create a scene-scape. Use a straw and a snowman charm to re-create the North Pole.
Embellish with Paint. Paint the inside of your ornament red and add a face to become Elmo! My son loves Elmo!
Neon Glitter. Ornaments don’t get any more colorful! You can use Glow in the dark paint behind the glitter to add a glow.
Make a disco ball ornament by gluing bits of a broken CD to the outside of a glass ornament. Nifty!
Create a time capsule of sorts. Put a current family photo into your ornament along with a couple items to remember the year.
Use a marble to mix paint around the inside of your glass ornament for a marbleized look.
Kinetic Sand is one of my kids FAVORITE things to play with. Your kids will love to fill ornaments with the sand and then dump it out!

Rubber Band Bracelets. My girls love wearing these. What a fun way to decorate the tree and then Christmas morning they can dig the bracelets out of the ornament to wear.
Googly Eyes. We used glue dots to affix the eyes all around our ornament balls – the kids had a blast making these!
Alcohol Ink Dyed. Use alcohol ink (we make our own “ recipe in the book) to dye ornaments into a gorgeous mottled look.
Scribbled Paint. Grab neon puffy paint and scribble over an ornament to make a fun statement.
Mini-Mossy World. Make a mock terrarium “ use bits of moss and greenery to fill the bottom of your ornament.
Oil Diffusing Ornament. Add drops of your favorite essential oil, along with a tablespoon of kitchen oil to an ornament with some dried spices for a fresh scent to fill your tree.
Bath Salt Filled. Epsom salts make a marvelous bath. Gift a ball full to a pal. Scent the salts with essential oils and add a drop of food dye to color the ball. Looks pretty and is useful.
Simple Ornament Ideas
Add a Styrofoam Head. Your glass ornament can become a snow man. Fill it with styrofoam pills and add a ball head, use a marker to create buttons and a face.
Fill an ornament with Hot Chocolate Mix and mini-marshmallows for a fun treat. Be sure to seal it and drink before the season is over.
Take Washi tape and wrap it around your ornament. The easiest ornament your kids will make!

Add rubber loom bands in your ornament and gift it to a kiddo – include a kit so your kids can make their own band bracelets. Fun!!
Ice Cream is fun, but ice cream with toppings is even better. Gift an ornament filled with topping treats for your kids.
Use vinyl letters to write a message on your glass ornament ( Let it Snow ) and fill it with glitter.
Santa’s belly. Stuff an ornament with red ribbon and wrap a belt around it. Add a buckle of glitter.

More Easy Christmas Decorations
Fold a silk flower, or in this case, a glittered leaf, and stuff it into an ornament. These look really cool on the tree.
These melted crayon ornaments are mess-less. Put small scraps of crayons into the ornaments and turn on the blow dryer. As the crayons melt, move the wax to create fun swirls.
Glitter. Add glitter to a glass ornament to add some glam.
Fill an ornament with moss or other bits of greenery for a natural tree.
