One of my favorite ways to make the house smell like Christmas is making scented pinecones. It’s become a tradition to make them every year. They smell so good and of course, are so pretty! You can place them in holiday canisters, bowls, glass hurricane jars, or really anywhere throughout the house.
Holiday Scented Pinecones
You can buy pinecones from your local craft store that are plain or already coated in glitter. If you get plain and want to add your own glitter you can either dip them in glue or use a spray adhesive and then add glitter.
To scent them, use a small glass spritzer bottle and add 10 drops of oil for every 1 oz of water. Shake it up and then spray the pinecone. You can adjust the amount of oil per water ratio as you like, depending on how strong you’d like it to be.
For this I use the Epoch Assure essential oil because it’s the perfect blend of cinnamon and clove. It is combined with several other oils like lemon, rosemary, ginger, bergamot and more. If you’re looking for the perfect Christmas-y oil, this is it.
We have used Assure for lots of other fun DIYs like our “before you go” spray and even lip balm. It is a super versatile oil!
