Creamy Turkey Noodle Soup

Kids Activities Blog http://ift.tt/1QU96tj creamy turkey noodle soup

Thanksgiving is easily one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time for family but also a time to have a fancy feast. My husband and I just know that we want leftovers so we usually make a lot of food. One thing that we have come to love making with turkey leftovers is this Creamy Turkey Noodle Soup. So today we are partnering with College Inn to share this tasty recipe with you.

What You Will Need to Make Creamy Turkey Noodle Soup:

  • 2 College Inn Turkey Broth Containers (32 oz. size)
  • Turkey Leftovers
  • 1 Cup Onions, Diced
  • 2 Cups Carrots, Sliced
  • 2 Cups Celery, Diced
  • 1 Package of Wide Egg Noodles (I used the frozen kind)
  • 3 Tablespoons Black Pepper
  • 8 oz. Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese
  • Parsley, chopped (optional for topping)
  • Crockpot or Slow Cooker

How to Make Creamy Turkey Noodle Soup:

  1. Preheat your crockpot slow cooker. You will want to adjust the time depending on how long you plan on cooking. Low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  2. Pour the turkey broth into the pot.
  3. Cut up the leftover turkey into small pieces. I made them cubed the best I could.
  4. Place the turkey pieces into the broth.
  5. In the meantime, cut up the vegetables and place into the crockpot.
  6. Place the noodles into the crockpot. Note: If you use frozen you will need to turn up the heat for a few minutes since the frozen noodles lower the temperature in the pan.
  7. Once your soup begins to boil or is entirely heated, add the whipping cream and cream cheese.
  8. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir well.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Time Spent Cooking After The Holidays

After the holidays we all are tired and worn out. So meals after Thanksgiving seem to be such a chore! You truly don’t have to dine-out or eat fast-food. Instead, use those Thanksgiving leftovers and make a delicious meal quickly and easily.

With College Inn, they believe cooking doesn’t have to be complicated, and most cooks aren’t showing off or trying to win a competition. But every good cook wants to make dishes flavorful for the meals that matter. I completely agree!

For me, it’s all about simple and delicious dinners that even my picky son will eat! The recipe I shared today takes care of all of that making me one happy mom!
