I am an Invisalign Teen® brand spokesperson and all opinions expressed are my own.
Your smile may not be something you think about every day! I think having a smile you are proud of makes life so much more fun. Regardless of your age, orthodontics can improve how you look and also have a positive impact on your health.
No one knows this better than me! I started treatment when I was 44 years old. I was so thankful for Invisalign clear aligners, which straightened my teeth without bringing any attention to it. I had become self-conscious of how one of my front teeth was beginning to cross over the other. In fact, my whole smile was a bit crooked and didn’t look like I felt inside.
We are in a waiting process right now for Reid, my 12 year old, to lose one more tooth so he can join me with Invisalign Teen clear aligners. It will be fun to watch his smile improve under the clear aligners. The aligners are almost like a window to the changes that are happening.
If you or your tween/teen has crowded teeth, having Invisalign and Invisalign Teen clear aligners can improve your ability to keep everything clean, reduce periodontal problems and tooth wear. I have been surprised how much easier it is to fully floss and properly brush now that my teeth are properly aligned. When teeth are crowded, it can be challenging or even impossible to fully clean.
And as for Reid, when he gets his Invisalign Teen clear aligners, I am so glad he can take them out to brush and floss. Brushing around braces and wires can be difficult for even the most dedicated brusher!
Orthodontics can also have a positive impact on your confidence; no more hiding your smile or feeling less than fabulous! If you or your tween/teen is looking to straighten your teeth, click here to find an orthodontist near you.
