I don’t know if it is my brain trying to overcome the overwhelming Texas heat or the adorableness of this photo, but it was the first one I thought of when asked to include a “throwback” milestone in my family…
We live in the Dallas area which usually sees flurries about once every year or two. This particular year was a snowstorm! It resulted in more than 6 inches of snow. And not that dry, flakey snow, but the absolutely perfect snow for snowmen.
My three boys got to work making an entire snowman family in our front yard.
So, in this August Texas heat, I am dreaming of our first snowman built at home!
I feel so lucky to be raising three boys in an environment where milestones are often taken for granted. Those first snowmen, first words, first steps, first ice cream cone, first zoo visit, first, first, first…are moments we recognize, but may not realize how amazing they are.
I want every parent in the world to see these milestones with their kids. It is one of the reasons I have teamed up with Shot@Life for Blogust which has the goal of donating 30,000 vaccines to kids in need around the world.
