When I asked my son what he wanted to do for his 6th birthday he simply said “I want to go see the Minions“! Ok simple enough we will go to the movies. I was silently cheering inside. I’m a movie person — I love the experience of going to the movie theater, ordering popcorn and getting lost for 2 hours. So I was not going to try and change his mind about going — it will actually be fun. This got me thinking about taking my kids to the movies this summer or having a movie party at home. Did you know there are tons of ways to Create or Join a Summer Movie Club. And it costs only a fraction of what you would spend on a regular movie ticket.

– Outdoor “Drive In” Movie Party – It’s so smart to separate the candy into individual cups.
– DIY Movie Night Popcorn bar – I would never think to add the candy to the popcorn like this!
– How to Host a Movie Night in 5 Simple Steps – I love the idea of just putting out pillows and blankets for everyone to share.
– Backyard Movie Night – This movie party comes with movie trivia cards just like at the theater.
