Pumpkin Patch Pudding is the perfect fall treat for school or home. It’s easy and inexpensive to put together, making it perfect for Harvest and Halloween parties.
Pumpkin Patch Pudding Treat
My kids especially love to pick the pumpkins off the top! Will yours do the same?
To make this treat you will need:
- 3 family size boxes of chocolate pudding
- Milk
- 1 box of Oreo cookies
- 1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 3 TBSP of milk
- 1 TSP of vanilla extract
- 1 bag of candy pumpkins
- Wilton 418 Leaf Decorating Tip
- Wilton No. 2 Decorating Tip
- Green food dye
- 9×12 pan
First, prepare the pudding according to the directions on the package. Spread the pudding into the pan.
Crush the Oreos. I like to do this by placing them in a plastic bag and letting the kids smash them with a rolling pin.
Spread the crushed Oreo cookies on top of the pudding. We used the entire box! Gently pat the Oreos to flatten them out.
Beat the butter, powdered sugar, 3 TBSP milk and 1 TSP of vanilla extra in a mixing bowl. Stir in the green food dye until your desired shade of green has been reached.
Divide the frosting between 2 frosting bags. One bag should be fitted with a leaf tip and the other bag should be fitted with a round tip.
Frost several vines over the Oreo cookies.
Use the leaf tip to create leaves “growing” out from the vines.
Invite kids to squeeze a small dot of frosting onto each candy pumpkin, then plant the pumpkins throughout the pumpkin patch!
Keep the pudding refrigerated and enjoy!
