Homemade Strawberry Freezer Pops

Kids Activities Blog http://ift.tt/2qjplYF

Summer is almost here, and the kids will soon be asking for these Strawberry Freezer Pops when it starts to get hot outside! There a refreshing treat that all the kids love, be sure to try making them Banana Fudge Popsicles too! Those are always a hit!

Homemade Strawberry Freezer Pops

Four simple ingredients make these homemade Strawberry freezer pops and you may have them all on hand already! I like to make a large batch of the freezer pops when I make them so that I have a lot on hand for my boys and any friends that may stop by.

My youngest loves helping in the kitchen making these too! He’s really pretty good at cooking and creating, so good that he has a Kids in the Kitchen cooking show on Facebook every week with his sweet cousin, Grace!  If you haven’t seen it yet be sure to check it out!

I love finding recipes to make things like this instead of buying them at the store not only is it usually cheaper but a lot of times they taste better too! We’ve even figured out how to make homemade electrolyte popsicles for the kids when they’re not feeling the best! They’re great for scratchy throats!

How to Make Strawberry Freezer Pops

What you need

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Cups Strawberries, sliced and diced
  • 2 TBSP Lemon juice, 1-2 lemons
  • 4 cups water
  • Freezer pop pouches

Instructions

Start by bringing the sugar, strawberries, lemon juice and two cups of water to a boil over medium heat. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until the strawberries begin to break down. Pour the mixture into your blender and add the remaining two cups of water. Blend on high until it is a smooth consistency. Pour the mixture into the Freezer Pop Pouches.

You can easily make different flavors of these like raspberry, blueberry, peach, etc. The flavor possibilities are endless! These would even be great using some bananas and peanut butter to make a creamy treat.

What types of summer treats do you make for your kids? Do they love ice creams and freezer treats like this one?
