Aluminum Foil & Tissue Paper Bracelets

Kids Activities Blog http://ift.tt/1G6oE4q aluminum foil bracelets

Having a real ‘girlie girl’ daughter means we make alot of DIY jewelry in our house at weekends. We’ve already tried making popsicle stick bracelets, TP Roll bracelets, papier mache bracelets and now we’ve added Aluminum Foil Bracelets to the jewelry box. Aren’t they so striking?!

This craft activity is so fun and engaging for children of all ages – as shown here it’s more suitable for children age 8+ and if you take out the raised twine step younger children will love gluing and layering the brightly colored tissue paper on the shiny foil.

Materials you need:
Toilet roll cores cut in half, aluminum foil, twine and hot glue gun, tissue paper and craft glue.

Start by gluing the twine onto the surface of the toilet roll, in whatever pattern you wish. The benefit of using a glue gun is that it dries instantly and you can move on to the next step straight away.

Next paint craft glue over the surface of the toilet roll and cover it in aluminum foil, carefully manipulating the foil around the twine so it doesn’t break.

And voila a lovely aluminum foil bracelet…

… a black canvas for your child to decorate with sharpie markers or tissue paper. The raised surface details make for ideal borders between colors.

And wow!! incredible color poppin bracelets to dress up any outfit. There’s no limit to the patterns, shapes and color combinations your children can try.
