I can’t believe just how easy it is to make bracelets from craft sticks. We make so many craft stick projects that we always have a ton extra laying around, so we decided to turn them into bracelets for our friends!
Make Bracelets From Craft Sticks
Here’s what you need to make bracelets from craft sticks:
- Jumbo wooden craft sticks
- Glass jars
- Paint (we used glitter paint)
Add your craft sticks to a large pot and cover them with water.
Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes, until the wood is pliable. Make sure to add plenty of sticks, in case some break in the process of shaping them.
Remove the craft sticks from the water one at a time and bend to fit inside your glass jars. It’s ok if a few of them break. We had several casualties!
Set on a baking sheet and allow to dry overnight.
Set your oven to 200 degrees F and add them for an hour to finish drying them out.
Once completely dry, remove from the jars and decorate!
We used glitter paint for a simple touch, but you could wrap them in washi tape or in twine to decorate them. Add stickers or even color them with markers. The possibilities are endless!
Once they are decorated, they’re ready to wear!
They should still be a bit pliable, so just bend them back together if they stretch out.
This is seriously one of our favorite children’s crafts with popsicle sticks. You can make a set to give to friends, and it would be such a fun slumber party activity.
