I hate to admit how far behind I am, but this post is going to show that off…. Tina is our July member of the month in The Activity Room, and I have yet to share about her with you.
Tina has been an active member from Quebec since the beginning of The Activity Room (over a year ago!). Today she shares her not-so-secret tip for keeping up with doing activities with her two kids.
Let’s meet Tina!
How many kids do you have and how old are they?
“2 kids. A boy who’s 2 1/2 and a girl who’s 7 months.”
What is your favorite activity you’ve done in The Activity Room?
“All are great! But painting with toys, fruit, flowers etc.. are so much fun.”
What’s your favorite thing to do with your kids when you get a few moments?
“Cuddle and read.”
What’s your best tip for doing activities with your kids?
“Use The Activity Room!! And set a rule (goal) to post something each week.”
All the photos in this article are ones Tina has shared throughout the year in our private members-only Facebook group. It is rare to not see something from her each week. She does awesome keeping with her goal!
Share your favorite quote:
“When it rains look for rainbows, when it’s dark, look for stars.”
Commit a goal to someone now.
Based on Tina’s tip for doing activities with your kids: Make a rule to share something every week.
This rings true for me as well. When I started doing activities with my kids, I made a rule (goal) to share 4 activities every week on Hands On As We Grow. And it helped a ton to have that accountability out there — even if it wasn’t direct. But having put it somewhere in writing made me commit to it.
I encourage you to do that today. Commit a goal, small or big, to someone — whether it’s on social media, in writing, or to your friend, mom or spouse.
“I will do ___ number of activities every week with my kids to help make it a fun childhood for them!”
