Are you ready to make your own chocolate mousse? This is a simple recipe that anyone can make! You’re going to love it!
Delicious Homemade Chocolate Mousse
- 8 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
- 6 Tablespoons Water
- 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
- 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
Step 1 – Melt the milk chocolate and water in a saucepan (I use a double boiler)
Step 2 – Whisk in the Vanilla and let it cool to room temperature
Step 3 – Whip the cream until it makes soft peaks and then add the powdered sugar
Step 4 – After the chocolate has cooled fold it into the whip cream mixture until it is well combined.
Step 5 – Garnish with more whip cream and chocolate drizzle. Enjoy!
Be sure to wait until the chocolate has cooled completely before you add it to the whipped cream, otherwise, you will have a runny mess! Be patient, it takes a little time to cool down!
Add a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top for a little extra goodness or even use a Peanut Butter Caramel Sauce! You could even be like my kids and have chocolate chips on top too!
