{Hair Fun} How to Make a Braided Bun

Kids Activities Blog http://ift.tt/1oO7bd6 how to make a braided bun

There is something about a braided bun that makes me giddy – it’s a princess style that lasts! Perfect for a dance recital, a party, or even just a pretend playdate.

What to do to make your bun:

First, pull the middle of your hair back into a ponytail, leaving a section of hair out along the top and one side.

Then, begin a french braid at the start of the hair on top of the head using two pieces of hair from the pony tail and one piece form the hair left out. Braid around the ponytail in a circular pattern.  Continue to pul a new piece from the section of hair that was not in your pony-tail with each twist of the braid.

Hint:  Try to evenly use the hair to be able to reach as far as possible around the ponytail.

When you are done braiding, finish the braid and tie off with an elastic. Tuck the end of the braid under the braid on the top of the head. Use a bobby pin to hold the end of the braid in place. You can add any decorative hair bows or clips easily at this point too.  We wanted to cover the bands and the end of our braid with a flower.
