Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies
Here’s what you need to make Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies:
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2/3 cup sour cream, divided
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
In a medium sized bowl, mix together cake mix, vegetable oil, milk, and 1/3 cup of sour cream until well blended. Set aside 1/2 cup of batter.
Line an 8×8 inch glass baking dish with parchment paper, leaving paper hanging over the edge for easy removal. Spoon remaining batter into baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
In a small bowl, blend together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and the rest of the sour cream. Add on top of the layer of batter and spread evenly.
Dot reserved batter onto the top of the cheesecake layer and swirl gently with a knife.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until top is just set.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Let cool completely before slicing.
