Fall activities are something I always look forward to… it’s my favorite time of year.

A week of fall activities to have fun with the kids

An activity plan for kids that love to play in water!

I’ve chosen some of our favorite activities to do in the summer to do this week, to get outside and enjoy the days when we can!

Monday: Leaf Garland

Stick collected leaves to a long piece of clear tape and hang in the window as a garland.

Supplies needed:

  • clear tape
  • leaves

Tuesday: Clip the A on the Apple

Cut an apple out of red paper. Write in the middle “A is for Apple”. Write various letters around the edge of the object (including lots of A’s). Find the letter that th eobject starts with and clip each with a paper clip.

Supplies needed:

  • red cardstock
  • scissors
  • marker
  • paper clips / clothespins

Wednesday: Spaghetti Slime

Color cooked spaghetti with a few drops of oil and food coloring. Place in a tub for spaghetti slime!Supplies needed:

  • cooked spaghetti

  • bucket or tub

Thursday: Nature Scavenger Hunt

Hunt for nature. Use colors and shapes as clues.

Supplies needed:

  • basket or bucket (optional)

Friday: Apple Tree Craft

Cut and glue a brown tree trunk onto a piece of cardstock. Add torn paper ‘leaves’ and red tissue paper ‘apples’ with glue to make an apple tree.

Supplies needed:

  • paper scraps (fall colors)
  • paper / cardstock
  • red tissue paper
  • glue
  • glitter (optional)

Saturday: Leaf Rubbings Match Up

Find various pairs of leaves in nature. Tape one of each leaf on the back of a piece of paper. Rub crayons over front side of the paper to show the leaf! Match the remaining leaf to the crayon rubbings.

Supplies needed:

  • leaves from nature
  • crayons
  • white paper
  • tape

Sunday: Yard Work!

Head outside and pick up sticks and work on the yard together.
