Thanksgiving is a such a great time to enjoy as many desserts as you crave and not worry about the calories — ok I wish that was true!  But this is a wonderful time to enjoy all of our favorite desserts.  Today on Family Food Live, I will prepare 5 Delicious Desserts for your Thanksgiving Dinner!

Apple Crisp

Shopping List:

  • 5 Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Quick-cooking Oats
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Spray 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray
  • Place the sliced apples in the pan
  • In a separate bowl mix the sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples
  • Pour water evenly over everything
  • In another bowl. combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter together. Crumble the mixture over the apples.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Shopping List:

  • Pre-made 9 inch crust
  • 2 packages Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

Instructions:

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  • In the bowl of a stand-up mixer, add cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar and heavy cream. Stir on low speed until fluffy
  • Add egg and blend well
  • Remove 2/3 cup of cheese mixture and set aside
  • Add pumpkin puree, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice to mixing bowl and blend well
  • Pour the pumpkin cheese mixture into the crust and spread evenly
  • With a spoon drop dollops of the reserved cream cheese and make swirls with a knife
  • Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until center is set
  • Remove and let cool for an hour, then refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving

Iced Chocolate in a Mug

Shopping List:

  • 3 cups Ice, crushed
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 packets Hot Chocolate Mix
  • Chocolate Sauce
  • Whipped Cream
  • Organic Cacao Powder for sprinkling

Instructions:

  • Put ice, milk and hot chocolate packets into blender for 1 minute
  • Pour the iced chocolate mixture into a glass
  • Top with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and cacao powder
  • Serve immediately
