Easy Robot Art Project with Magnatiles

Ready to get started? Collect your materials and let’s create an awesome robot!

For this robot art project, you’ll need:

  • Magnet tiles
  • paper
  • crayons, markers, pencils

Build a Robot on Paper

Magnatiles are so versatile. We use them for everything! From marble mazes to incredible magnet tile castles, magnet tiles spark imagination.

So let’s get started!

First, we arranged the magnatiles on the paper.

He made the window shaped tile become the head, triangle pieces for the arms, and squares for the body and legs.

Trace the Robot

Next he traced the magnatiles to create the robot outline. You may have to help little hands hold the tiles still while they trace.

Add Details to Your Robot Art Project

After your child has an outline, it’s time to get creative! Add buttons, a face, tool arms, or anything else he can imagine for the robot.

We used crayons, but you could take it up a notch and add 3D objects! Buttons, tin foil, or pipe cleaners would be amazing additions.
