Check out a super simple sticker name trace activity! Meet, Paola, our Member of the Month and see how sticker tracing is an awesome go-to activity!

Let’s meet Paola, our member of the month for The Activity Room.

Paola is a Canadian mother of two, an almost three year old and a baby girl.

Ever feel like you’re just tired of looking for ideas, finding something that you think will be just perfect… and then do it… and you’re thought is…

well… that wasn’t how that was supposed to turn out…

Paola was stuck in that mode. Tired of it all, and basically not doing anything because it just seemed to hard or unrealistic.

“My biggest struggle was just finding something that was realistic.” Paola mentioned, “Finding something that I could just pull out and do. And knowing that it worked. That it wasn’t an adult making it saying — ‘Here, a child made it!’

Since discovering The Activity ROOM:

Paola has grown to love doing activities with her son because he has a love of learning (probably because of her doing hands-on activities with him that encourages this love).

Plus, there’s an added bonus that activities help pass the time during a long day. Yes, the years do fly by, but the days seem to be long for a stay at home mom some days.

“Time goes very fast when you do an activity!”

Just like with the awesome sticker name trace activity Paola shares at the end of this post!

During one of the activity challenges (have you signed up yet?), Paola loved doing it with her son and when enrollment opened to The Activity Room, convincing her husband was not a problem after he saw all the activities they were doing that week.

“My husband saw all the things we did for that week for those five days. And he was like ‘uh, yeah, go ahead, do it. It’s worth it.’

So, Paola joined The Activity Room!

The Activity Room has very simple and easy instructions to do an activity. It is very organized so you can be too. And there is always extra activities for you to enjoy.

Paola loves that there is no more searching everywhere for activities with your kids. But her favorite part is the Member Facebook Community, looking at everyone posting about their take of the activities.

Being a part of the member community!

“It encourages you, and then sometimes you don’t have the supplies, but then you see someone else use something different you say, ‘Oh, that’s right, I can use that. That’s a great idea!’

As far as supplies go, Paola is saving tons on money without going out to a special store finding one special item for one special activity.

“For the supplies, I don’t feel like I’m spending much money to be honest. A lot of the things I have at home already.

“Everything, either I have around the house, or I can get at the dollar store, or I can improvise.”

Be sure to check out the Sticker Name Tracing activity at the end of this post!

Let’s Meet Paola

How many kids do you have and how old are they?

2 kids, 2.10 year old boy and 11 month old girl

Why do you love doing activities with your kids?

It is fun and exciting and my boy loves them

How long have you been in The Activity Room?

September 2019

What is your favorite activity you’ve done in The Activity Room?

oh that is a tough one to answer. They are all great, but if I must choose one I would say the oatmeal sandbox. I placed alphabet letters and my boy would get them out and place them on a tray where the letters were outlined for him to place.

What’s your favorite thing to do with your kids when you get a few moments?

read books. That is his obsession and every opportunity he gets to read he would take it.

What’s your best tip for doing activities with your kids?

be flexible and enjoy them even if they don’t seem to like it at first.

If you were to tell a friend about The Activity Room, what would you say to them?

The Activity Room is an awesome resource to me. Before The Activity Room I was struggling to find simple and fun activities to do with my boy. Now with The Activity Room I can look at my calendar and find the activity of the day or check out the Facebook group and see what everyone is up to and modifications to an activity that might benefit my son, too.

Sticker Name Tracing Activity:

Following the idea of triple name tracing, I started doing the tracing with stickers, instead of yarn.

I needed something that he could do alone while I put baby to sleep.

Supplies Needed for Name Trace with Stickers:

I wrote his name on a piece of paper. I gave them the stickers and asked him to place them on the lines to trace his name.

Have your toddler trace their name using stickers!

So simple and fun. Most kid’s love activities that have to do with their names.

TIP: Make sure to write big and leave space between the letters in order to have room for the stickers

What else can you trace with stickers besides your name?

I have also done this with the letter “C”! I drew a cat and the letter “C” capital and lower case “c”. And he needed to place the stickers on the lines.

We did fish too, and the different colours made the fish look very nice and colourful.

Tip: I used big circular stickers so it’s easier to grab and place. Also write big so they can have the space to place the stickers as they trace their name.

Tell us about some of your name trace or sticker activities!
