Are you looking for more ways to incorporate essential oils in your everyday routine?

Fortunately, there are a number of ways you can do this without making any major changes.

Essential Oils in Your Everyday Routine

8 Ways to use essential oils in your everyday routine

1) Cook with essential oils. You can include essential oils in so many different recipes, you’d be amazed! You can incorporate garlic essential oil into Italian recipes, use rosemary essential to cook chicken, or add lemon essential oil to many dessert recipes. Make sure you always use Food Grade quality essential oils, which are approved by the FDA for consumption, in diluted amounts in your cooking.

2) Create a DIY perfume with essential oils. If you normally wear a fragrance, why not trying making your own homemade body spray out of essential oils? Simply make a solution of water and your favorite essential oil or oils. You’ll have so much fun creating a fragrance you’ll enjoy wearing every day!

3) Add essential oils to your bath water to relax. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil in a carrier oil to your bathtub to increase relaxation, reduce stress, and get a better night’s sleep!

4) Use essential oils to keep bugs away. A homemade bug spray made from essential oils like Thyme and orange can help keep away ticks, mosquitoes, and other outdoor pests!

5) Include essential oils in your cleaning routine. Due to their antiseptic properties, many essential oils make great homemade household cleaning products. Some of the most effective essential oils to use include lemon, orange, peppermint, and eucalyptus. You can use them to clean everything from your counter tops and cutting boards to your bathrooms and floors!

6) Keep essential oils on hand for skin issues. If you suffer from any skin problems like eczema, dermatitis, or Athlete’s foot, essential oils can be a great solution. Essential oils such as lavender oil, tea tree, peppermint, lemon, and eucalyptus are popular choices due to their anti-fungal properties. If you suffer from dandruff, consider adding a couple of drops of tea tree essential oil to your shampoo.

7) Wash your dishes with essential oils. If you’re looking for a DIY dish detergent, you might want to consider using essential oils. Due to their antiseptic properties, lemon, orange, and eucalyptus are all great options. Orange essential is a popular stain remover, while eucalyptus essential oil can even get rid of salmonella.

8) Use essential oils to do your laundry. Lemon, tea tree, and rosemary essential oils can all be great options if you’re looking to make a homemade DIY laundry detergent. To create a homemade laundry detergent, simply combine ¼ cup white vinegar, ¾ cup water, 1 tablespoon glycerin, 2 cups of liquid castile soap, and the essential oil of your choice!

These are just eight great ways to use essential oils in your everyday routine! No matter what your day to day routine is, there’s bound to be an essential oil to suit your needs.
