In my family, we love games. We play board games, card games, video games and can make almost anything into a game.

Growing up, my family had a weekly family game night. Every Saturday night, we would either host or attend an evening full of games. The adults would be playing cards in the dining room. The kids would be playing Monopoly or Sorry in the basement. As we got older, it was a great honor to join the adult game.
And then I married into a family who plays games too! My husband’s experience was similar, his family had regular times when the extended family got together to play. It was fun learning their favorite games so that I could compete.
My kids are genetically wired for competition. They were trained on Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders and LeapFrog early video games. They are now into all sorts of board games, cards and of course, video games of all kinds and all platforms.
Three competitive boys + 2 competitive parents = always a game!
