Chocolate Fudge Stick Bears

Kids Activities Blog http://ift.tt/1smN5TY

Kids are gonna love these adorably cute Chocolate Fudge Stick Bears and they are super easy to make. Whether your child loves teddy bears or you are in the midst of reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears, these cute chocolate treats will make a perfect snack. If you are throwing a teddy bear themed party, serving these cookies alongside some Chocolate Teddy Bear Pretzel Pops would be great too.

All you need to make this quick and easy snack are some store bought fudge sticks, some chocolate spread and a few types of candy. I used Keebler’s Jumbo Dark Fudge Sticks to make my bears. If you’ve never had these, they are wafer cookies coated in chocolate. I really like the size of these cookies and my candies were the perfect fit for the ears, snout, nose and eyes.

Chocolate Fudge Stick Bears

Ingredients:

2 Tootsie Roll Midgees

6 brown Mini M&Ms

6 Keebler Jumbo Fudge Sticks (Dark Fudge)

2-3 tablespoons Hershey’s chocolate spread

12 candy eyes

12 brown Reese’s Pieces (or M&Ms)

Instructions:

Unwrap your Tootsie Roll Midgees, break off a small piece, roll it into a pea sized ball, then flatten it into an oval.

Press one mini brown M&M into the Tootsie Roll creating the bear’s snout and nose.

Unwrap the Jumbo Fudge Sticks. Spread some Hershey’s chocolate spread over the top of each cookie.

To make the chocolate spread look like fur, press down on the spread using a knife or fork, then lift up quickly, pulling the chocolate spread up into spikes. Do this all over the surface of the cookie, making it look furry.

Attach two brown Reese’s Pieces to the top corners of the fudge stick to create ears. Then add two candy eyes about an inch below the ears and place the Tootsie Roll Snout just under the eyes.

Eat the bears now, or store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
