Warm Apple and Oats
Here’s what you need to make Warm Apple and Oats:
- 3 cups applesauce (we used homemade, but purchased will certainly also work!)
- 1/2 cup steel cut oats
In a large bowl, or smaller containers, portion out your apple sauce. We used smaller containers that are easy to grab and go for the office and school.
Divide the dry oats evenly between the containers and give a really thorough stir.
Place in the refrigerator for a couple hours and then stir again.
Let sit overnight so that all of the apple goodness will be absorbed into the oats. Stir again in the morning (or whenever you’re ready to enjoy them). These are great chilled, warm with a small drizzle of pure maple syrup or room temperature.
